Evelyn has worked at All-Star Personnel for six years. She’s lived in Lafayette, TN her whole life and knows the hiring landscape there like the back of her hand. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In today’s blog, Evelyn talks about what it’s really like to be a recruiter at All-Star Personnel, what it takes to succeed as an associate, and what her best tips for success look like. Here’s a little more about how she brings her very best to work every day.  

What interested you to become a recruiter? 

I came to All-Star for a temporary assignment myself and they saw something special in me. All-Star offered me a position in the branch. I didn’t know much about recruiting when I first started, now I am one of the top performers in the entire company. 

What does a day in your life at All-Star Personnel look like? 

My day is all about smiling and dialing. 

Tell me more about how you help a job seeker on assignment? 

I always check in with them to see how the new assignment is going and how they are being treated. I reiterate the fact that we are an advocate for them. It’s really important for our associates to know that they have someone on their team making sure that they are set up for success.  

What’s your best tip for someone who is a new temporary associate? 

Keep an open mind about the new assignment. Always communicate with All-Star and always have a positive attitude. 

What would you say helps an associate stand out from the crowd? 

Being self-motivated and a self-starter matters a lot. Great associates are ones who are dependable, reliable and hard working.  

What’s your best tip for an associate once they go on assignment? 

Always have a positive attitude! 

What traits do the associates you have worked with share? 

They can follow directions, have good communication skills, and have excellent attendance.  

What do you enjoy most about your job? 

My job is very challenging, which I love. I also have a great team that I enjoy working with every day. 

Anything else you want to add? 

I am very blessed to be able to work for such an amazing company. I’ve grown so much over the years. I love what I do!
