Posted

Putting a name to the job can make a big difference in the success of your job search. So we’re thrilled to help you get to know our recruiting team! Today we’re talking with Fabiola Humphrey. She’s been working with us at All-Star Personnel for almost 4 years and brings a host of amazing skills and experiences to help you find the job you are looking for.

Originally from Guaymas, Mexico, Fabiola is a graduate from ITSON College with a degree as an Industrial and Systems Engineer. That means she understands the complexities of working within this industry and what skills are needed to really succeed in the role. Her hobbies include drawing, crafting, event planning, and of course, spending time with her friends and family. Here’s some more about what makes her such a great staffing partner.

What would you say helps an associate stand out from the crowd?

It’s important to have a great attitude towards coworkers and your supervisors. That positive attitude and willingness to be a team player is what employers are really looking for. They’re also looking for employees who can follow instructions, as well as have excellent attendance and communication skills.

What does a day in your life at All-Star Personnel look like?

Happy! My days are full of assignments and working hard to find the correct job and fit for our Employees.

What’s your best tip for an associate once they go on assignment?

My best tip is to make sure you follow all the instructions given to you, and have great safety awareness on the job. That way, you are able to make the best impression with your employer, and have the best chance of getting hired full time. Also, make sure you don’t walk out on a job if you don’t like your assignment. You have to give it a chance for at least a week and then if you still think reassignment is necessary, let us know. And lastly, I tell my candidates to always communicate with their supervisors and with US so we can help them if and when they need it.

What traits do the associates you have worked with share?

Our associates are all so hard working!

What interested you to become a recruiter?

I love being a recruiter because I want to help others to find their occupation. Also, I’m passionate about helping the Hispanic associates that are not able to understand English find a job that helps them provide for their families.

Tell me more about how you help a job seeker on assignment?

I make sure to ask associates to share all their work experience and skills that they have so I can fit them in to the best assignment for them. Being transparent and honest about the requirements and the work environment helps me set their expectations for what the work will be like. I do my best to answer all their questions and give them the best customer service, so they are satisfied and I gain their trust. That way they can refer other employees to us as well!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

My co-workers because we work so well as a team.

In your opinion what makes a great associate?

A great associate is one with a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and someone who can communicate well. Because communication is the key to success.
